The company lists an address in Manhattan and is controlled by Sovereign Partners, a commercial real estate agency with offices in New York City and Boston.

The park was shut down in 2021, but local leaders from Hartford, New Britain, and Farmington teamed up with House Speaker Matt Ritter to announce plans last week to turn the long-shuttered park into a state park. The plan would move the responsibility for maintenance to the state, which would be able to take advantage of the $10 million grant to renovate the park and fund it with money from the state’s Passport to Parks program.
However, a letter from Hartford Corporation Counsel to the conservancy care of board member Neil Connors on July 14 said that all fundraising efforts and volunteer operations for the park had been suspended. It also warned that anyone involved with the nonprofit conservancy could face legal action.
